Oki-ni / Scrawl Collective limited edition silk screen prints

Oki-ni has teamed up with Scrawl Collective to bring you eight limited edition silk
screen prints from seven of the agency’s artists and illustrators.

Danny Sangra War Print | OKI-NI / SCRAWL COLLECTIVE
As one of London’s busiest artists Danny Sangra most recognisable characteristics
are his combinations of organic expansions and geometric patterns. The work closest
to his heart is in fashion, as evident in his own brand concept ‘A minutes Silence’,
his mask collaboration with shoe company Double Identity and most his most recent
collaboration with Katie Hillier for Marc by Marc Jacobs.

David Walker Lava Heads Print | OKI-NI / SCRAWL COLLECTIVE
Walker draws influence from Hip Hop, Kung Fu movies, rock n roll, hot rods
and Saul Bass to create a hybrid of graphic design and illustration. Best known for
his acclaimed clothing label Subsurface which he finished in 2004 he’s now working
with the clothing label Gio Goi plus working on his own projects.

Hampus Ericstam Flyer Spray Print | OKI-NI / SCRAWL COLLECTIVE
Originally from Stockholm, Hampus has travelled extensively resulting in
a style that is rooted in the early 90’s Da La Soul era combined with a 50’s
super-clean Swiss graphics. Best known for his design work with WE clothing in particular
the Superlative Conspiracy product, believing composition is everything.

Mr Jago Silk Print Bug | OKI-NI / SCRAWL COLLECTIVE
Mr. Jago is one of the Scrawl Collectives original members, taking the influence
of graffiti and going in a completely different direction to everyone else, a true
pioneer of the doodle school. World famous amongst his contemporaries in the urban
art world his most recent collaborations include an Addict Clothing toy as well as
being a regular on their artists t-shirt series.

Nick Purser Waterfall Print | OKI-NI / SCRAWL COLLECTIVE

Nick has a love of doodling, drawing and painting combined with a sound commercial
sense. Major influences on his work include music, snowboarding and anything that
kick starts the imagination. Now working freelance his first project with Scrawl Collective
was last summers PSP / Cutout project in conjunction with Marmalade magazine and Peter
Saville.

Phlash Yeti Print | SCRAWL COLLECTIVE
Graduating from St Martins Phlash combined his day job with creating canvasses
and digital work inspired by his youthful obsessions; Star Wars, Judge Dredd , Dr
Who, Blakes 7 and space 1999. Painting weird post apocalyptic chemical landscapes
and populating them with strange creatures such as his Yeti series. His most recent
projects include a commission by the BFI to design the film poster for the first cinematic
release of the original Godzilla film, plus being selected for the Contemporary Art
Society’s ARTfutures in 2004 and 2005.

Sam Green Sumo Wrestler Print | SCRAWL COLLECTIVE
One of the newest and youngest artist of the Scrawl Collective, Sam Green’s
work is self initiated rather than commissioned and his output has certainly benefited
from being free of the constraints of a brief or client. His images are weird and
wonderful, filled with strange, dysfunctional characters and odd scenarios whose surface
cuteness masks something surreal and sinister beneath. His own world entirely under
his control. Expect to see a lot more of this prodigious talent and purchase one of
his prints now while you can still afford him!
