It consumes minimal power – the solar battery* goes into sleep mode after 72 hours’ darkness but the watch still uses a radio signal to consult atomic clocks.
*The solar battery is a thin line running around the edge of the display.
So after years’ blackout, it’ll still be pinpint acurate.
